Egg Roll in a Bowl Ramen

Ever crave the savory, delicious filling of an egg roll but can’t stand the thought of deep-frying on a warm summer night? This Egg Roll in a Bowl Ramen recipe is your perfect answer, delivering all that amazing flavor in a quick, deconstructed format that’s both satisfying and surprisingly fresh.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef or any preferred protein

  • 1 sweet onion

  • 1 bag of diced carrots

  • 1 bag of slaw, with cabbage

  • 2 oz chicken broth

  • 3 cloves garlic

  • Splash of sesame oil

  • Splash of rice vinegar

  • Splash of Liquid Aminos (healthier version of soy sauce)

  • 3 green onions

  • Salt and pepper for taste

  • 2 blocks of ramen

  • Yum yum sauce (we purchase this at the store)

Instructions

  1. Cook beef to completion, drain fat. Toss in the onion until softened.

  2. Add shredded carrots, garlic, and chicken broth. Saute for 2 minutes.

  3. Add cabbage, steam until softened. Wait until you see the cabbage start charring.

  4. Add soy sauce/liquid aminos, sesame oil, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper for taste.

  5. Add the cooked ramen to the dish. Mix together.

  6. Add green onions on top and drizzle with Yum yum sauce.

  7. Enjoy!
